#tbt First House

circa 1995, halloween right after we bought our first house in Las Vegas.  Carrying on my families tradition of carving the giant pumpkin, this beauty drove back from CA with us in the back seat of our car.

#tbt 9/11/2001

#tbt 9/11/2001

This photo was taken on 9/10/2001, perhaps a day when the world was slightly more innocent.  My first trip home, traveling alone, with baby Sidney after moving to Wisconsin.  Little did I know at this moment that my daughter would be the first generation where the term 9/11 was an adjective that she was familiar with as a first grader.  We were on one of the first flights out of Los Angeles after the airport re-opened and resumed the new normal of air travel.  I am thankful to those kind individuals who helped me off of the bus.  No one would touch another persons luggage, stroller or baby seat, but they would hold a 5 month old baby so a young mother could scramble off the remote parking bus, as at that time, there were no curb drop offs allowed.  Sidney, now 13 and Great-Grandpa,now 94, who still enjoys and icy cold one, happy in a beautiful moment of innocence.

#tbt What Decade

When I was in 9th grade, my parents remodeled their kitchen.  This was taken just before the demolition.  Can you guess what decade I grew up in? :D

#tbt Cowboys

What a difference almost 30 years makes.  After a wonderful week at the Alisal last week, I found this picture of my brother and I right around 1986 with Cowboy Dick.  Below is the photo I took last year of him with Charles.  This year we saw him out working cattle, gotta love cowboys!

#tbt Player

#tbt circa 2009  Fitting as we had signing day today for his fourth year in club ball to look at his 2nd year playing as a six year old.  Future FIFA player?  I don't know, but in his graduation book he wrote about where he would be in 15 years....

"In 15 years I will hopefully be a soccer player.  I don't care if it's minor or major league or if I'm just a coach, I just want to be playing soccer.  I will probably have a good degree from college.  I hope I will be somewhere close to my family and friends.  If I can't get drafted into a team, I want to be a farmer like my parents."

#tbt Best Buds

#tbt  Circa September 2004 & July 2008.  These two have been buds since Mia was 2 and Sidney 6 months old.  Yesterday Mia graduated from eighth grade, and next year the girls will roam the halls of the same school once again.  It's amazing to watch them mature into confident young ladies.  Congrats Miss Mia!

#tbt Twenty Years Ago

Circa May 1994 a couple of kids graduated from college.  One with her Bachelors Degree and the other with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.  Feels like yesterday.

*I realized that I was not posting my #tbt pictures here, and am going to start for the benefit of those friends and family not on facebook ;-)
