Rising To The Occasion


 Early to rise and take in a spectacular sunrise.
Rising children, rubbing the sleep away from their eyes.
Rising my virtual pen to join a discussion of importance.
Rising up a pristine sledding hill, only to slide down again.
Rising steam from the hot, soul soothing soup.
Rising voices in laughter and lively conversation.
Rising to the occasion. 
Every day is an occasion to rise to, isn't it?
